Western Riding, Western Tack, Western Horses .... we are Western Cowboys at heart.
After living the dream of owning and operating a Horse Ranch in Wyoming , USA that was deep into real Cowboy Country, when moving to the UK it was impossible to leave that way of life behind. The Cowboy Code is a way of life that is something the world could do with following, as it represents all that is good about respect, equality and old fashioned decency, honesty and morals.
We brought over 2 of our best Ranch horses back in 2016 and our saddles and tack and the hats !
All the children learned to ride western Cowboy style whilst we lived in Wyoming, next to Yellowstone National Park East Gate, that experience from the age of 3 has led to the boys being exceptionally talented riders and full of Cowboy confidence to ride anywhere and at any speed ! We have always been involved in hospitality and giving people an experience to remember and this Ranch in The stunning Wasdale Valley of the UK is our offering to you now. you can either come to climb the highest mountains , swim in the lake or relax in complete silence . Take a ride on a horse, paddleboard or bbq.... whatever you want we will do our best to deliver. !
Before we lived on this beautiful mountain in the UK, we had a 20 bed hospitality Horse Ranch 26 miles from Cody Wyoming, USA (The home of Cowboy Rodeo) where we had over 60 horses and ran them on thousands of acres of National Forest just outside the East Gate of Yellowstone National Park. We also had a home in the Far North West of Peru in the Illescas National Reserve outside Sechura where we were surrounded on the Pacific coast by Humbolts Penguins, Andean Condors, Sealions and a huge desert and land that resembled a moonscape. A place where rain is only expected every 25 years or so.. For a number of years we owned a 20 bed Safari Lodge in the northern highlands of South Africa where we had over 100 Rhino, 150 Elephants as well as Lions, Cheetahs and thousands of other species. With a long history of working with wildlife and humanitarian projects in countries all over the globe since 1996, the stories to be recalled around our bbq fire in the summer evenings are varied and full of adventure !
